Nashville, TN – May 9, 2025 – NRT Music and veteran worship leader John Chisum are excited to announce the release of Chisum’s brand-new single, “White Flag,” available now on all major streaming platforms.
Marking a fresh sonic turn in Chisum’s four-decade-long career, “White Flag” is a bold, pop-forward anthem of surrender that blends heartfelt lyrics with an infectious beat and anthemic chorus. Crafted in collaboration with prolific Nashville producer Sam Hart, the track offers a new soundscape for Chisum’s signature message of faith and perseverance.
“I’m experimenting a bit here,” says Chisum. “‘White Flag’ is unlike anything I’ve ever done. I’m having a lot of fun just making music that is meaningful to me, even if it’s outside the bounds of the softer worship I’m most known for. I believe it’s never too late to be the artist you want to be.”
The single showcases Chisum’s distinct falsetto over Hart’s polished production and features contributions from co-writers Bonnie J. Barbey, Brant Colella, and Hart himself. The result is an energetic yet introspective track that captures the vulnerability of surrendering control and finding strength in faith: “Forgot this was a battle / Thought that I could handle / All of the hurt all by myself…”
