Written, produced, and composed by Brendon Weaver (aka Mr. Weaverface) and recorded at Thornwall Studios by Jonathan Sambrick, “Throne” draws inspiration from Scripture passages that describe the majesty of God’s throne and the heavenly realms. The post-grunge-infused anthem is both a spiritual declaration and a sonic journey, with driving guitars and soaring vocals underscoring God’s supreme reign and enduring love.
“Throne is about the awe and wonder of God’s authority over everything—past, present, and future,” says Mr. Weaverface. “I hope this song will lift people’s eyes to heaven and remind them that God works all things for good for those who love Him.”
With lyrics referencing biblical imagery—lapis lazuli, fiery chariots, angelic worship, and crystal seas—“Throne” paints a vivid and reverent picture of God’s power and presence. The chorus, “Throne of promise / Throne of peace / The throne of You will never cease,” declares the eternal nature of Christ’s rule.
