NRT Music will release the sophomore worship album, Help & Deliverer, from the Ezra Worship Initiative on February 20, delivering a theologically rich and congregationally focused body of work shaped by Scripture, humility, and communal worship. Blending modern hymnody with accessible worship expressions, the album reflects the heart of a seminary-based initiative committed to raising up the next generation of worship leaders and songwriters for the church.
Spanning songs released throughout 2025 alongside four brand-new tracks placed at the top of the album, the project gathers voices from across the Ezra Worship community, featuring collaborations with Taylor Jones, Grant Keith, Molly MacCaughelty, Anne Elise Sherrod, Lauren Lanier, Jimmy Daniels, and Mary Cam Burg. The album explores themes of belonging, mercy, surrender, and Christ-centered devotion, offering worship leaders and listeners songs designed for both personal reflection and corporate worship.
The focus track, “Jesus, the Servant King,” led by Anne Elise Sherrod and co-written with George Godwin, anchors the album with a powerful meditation on Christ’s kingship revealed through humble service. Drawing from intimate moments in the Gospels—including Jesus washing the disciples’ feet, weeping with Mary and Martha, and forgiving from the cross—the song frames sacrificial love as the truest expression of divine power. Its refrain, “love upon love upon love,” declares servanthood as “the strongest pow’r the world has seen,” inviting worshippers to reimagine greatness through the life of Jesus.
Produced by Kyle Kicker and published by Ezra Worship Music, “Jesus, the Servant King” balances congregational simplicity with rich theological depth. The song’s bridge holds together the tension of Christ as both “merciful and mighty” and “holy and so lowly,” naming Him as protector, defender, and sin-bearer while keeping His humility central.
The Ezra Worship Initiative is a 10-week seminary-based internship program designed to equip worship leaders through strong biblical theology, leadership development, practical audio and sound tech training, and musical growth. As a songwriting collective, the Initiative is cultivating a new stream of modern congregational worship music that honors the historic foundations of the church while engaging today’s worshipping communities.
The album releases February 20 from NRT Music and will be available on all major digital platforms.
