Tulsa, OK – October 3, 2025 – Rock band XIII Minutes will release their explosive new single, “Fake,” on October 3, 2025, through NRT Music. Known for their unapologetic style and intense performances, XIII Minutes delivers a track that challenges listeners to strip away the mask and face the truth within.
“Fake” is an observational anthem inspired by the age-old moral warning against those who live by the mantra, “Do as I say, not as I do.” The song presses into themes of hypocrisy and self-deception, asking the piercing question, “Take a look in the mirror, tell me what you see.” Its lyrics expose the emptiness of false appearances, likening them to a “whitewashed tomb, empty room where your heart should be.” Backed by fierce instrumentation and commanding vocals, the song refuses to let listeners off the hook.
Produced by Kevin W. Gates and written by Thomas Wheat and Jerrod Cunningham, “Fake” continues XIII Minutes’ mission to create music that is both sonically relentless and lyrically convicting.
Formed in 2015, XIII Minutes has carved their place in the alternative metal scene with their debut album Obsessed (2019) and a string of well-received singles. After returning from a brief hiatus in 2022, the Tulsa-based trio–Jerrod Cunningham (vocals), Thomas Wheat (guitar, backing vocals), and Jamie Kucinski (drums)–has proven their staying power with music that challenges and inspires. Now signed to NRT Music, the band continues to push forward with renewed energy and vision.
“Fake” is now available worldwide on all streaming platforms.
