Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada – October 17, 2025 – The Slower I Go continues their worship journey with the release of their second single, “What Kind of Friend?,” produced by Canyon Lewis of HOMECOMING and featuring lead vocals from band member Dacey Lane. Written by Dacey Lane, Noah Priebe, Ethan Daniels, and Brooklyn Summer, the song is a powerful reflection on the paradox of Christ as both mighty King and intimate Friend.

The song follows the band’s August 2025 debut single, “All Or Nothing” which is approaching 10,000 streams across all platforms.

What Kind of Friend?” carries listeners through lyrics that express awe, gratitude, and testimony. With Lane’s heartfelt vocal delivery leading the way, the song marvels at the Savior who calls us His own, walks with us through fire, washes us clean, and secures our redemption. The stirring chorus declares the mercy and freedom found in Christ, offering an anthem that is both congregational and deeply personal.

The Slower I Go is a worship collective born from years of friendship and shared songwriting. What began as friends strumming guitars and turning Scripture into song has grown into a calling to share music that points to Christ. Guided by Hosea 6:6–“For I delight in loyalty rather than sacrifice”–the band’s mission is to remain obedient to the Lord and to be vessels for His Kingdom. Their music embodies loyalty, humility, and trust in God’s leading.

What Kind of Friend?” captures the sound of authentic worship rooted in truth and community, reminding listeners of the Savior who calls them pure, redeemed, and His own.

“What Kind of Friend?” is available now on all streaming platforms.
