Written by vocalist Leah Monson and produced by Laurel Taylor, “Let the Truth” is an indie pop worship anthem that peels back the layers of performance and perfection often seen in church culture. With an authentic lyrical approach and a vulnerable vocal delivery, the song explores the pain of hiding behind masks, encouraging listeners to find healing through honesty, community, and grace. “Truth be told, I have fooled so many / With joy on my face but a heart that is heavy,” the song confesses—an echo of what many feel but rarely voice.
Whether it’s the pressure to present a polished version of ourselves or the silence that surrounds private struggles, “Let the Truth” shines a light on the beauty of being known and loved exactly as we are. Formed by husband-and-wife duo Brandon and Leah Monson in Duluth, Minnesota, Presence Music Band has evolved from a local youth camp worship team to a national act. Supported by musicians Merrill Miller and Jacob McCormick and a rotating roster of guests, the band has shared the stage with acts like Brandon Heath, Kim Walker-Smith, Ben Fuller, Jason Gray, and Cory Asbury.
